This TROYPOINT IPTV guide lists the Best IPTV Services for Firestick, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, and any media device in 2024.
We also cover important topics such as the safety and legality of these services as well as detailed review guides which include channel offerings, pricing, connections available, and much more.
Most people visit this page to find our top IPTV service rankings, and we include both verified and unverified options below to help you find a provider that caters to your specific needs.
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. Millions of cord-cutters across the world are eliminating their cable and satellite subscriptions packages and switching to this newer technology option.
Those who choose to use IPTV services instead of cable or satellite can save hundreds if not thousands of dollars each year.
You can think of IPTV as cable television on steroids, through the Internet, but for a fraction of the price. There are literally thousands of IPTV Providers available for purchase online and we cover the best ones available below.
Most services include thousands of live TV channels for all types of streaming content. Some provide professional sports season passes for football, baseball, basketball, hockey, and Pay-per-view (PPV) sporting events.

The end-user is solely responsible for media accessed and TROYPOINT assumes that all visitors are abiding by copyright laws set forth within their jurisdiction. Users should only stream works not protected by copyright when using unverified streaming solutions.
Oftentimes, users will also find Video-on-Demand (VOD) content for watching Movies, Shows, Documentaries, etc. and this is another reason these outlets have become so popular!
IPTV providers are usually accessible via stand-alone apps that work best on inexpensive Android-based streaming devices such as Amazon Fire TV Stick and Android/Google TV Boxes.
Currently, the Amazon Fire TV Stick is the most popular of these since it has the ability to side-load apps that allow you to access these IPTV Providers.
NOTE: If you’re looking for TROYPOINT IPTV service, there is no such thing. TROYPOINT does not operate any service and never has. If you see a service that claims to be TROYPOINT, it is a scam and you should stay far away!
Before we dive into our list of top providers, let’s first start off with a video created by Troy that explains how to use unverified IPTV services anonymously and securely.
This video will provide important information on the security risks associated with using these questionable “unverified” services.

Types of IPTV Services
We separate IPTV services into two different categories – verified and unverified.
Verified Services
These are services readily available through popular app stores such as Amazon App Store or Google Play. These have been vetted and typically have much higher prices than “unverified” outlets.
We assume that these are 100% legal due to the fact that they have been approved to be in these popular app stores. Both Amazon and Google would probably be liable for copyright infringement if they allowed illegal IPTV services.
Unverified Services
We then define unverified services as those that aren’t available within the popular app stores.
These are IPTV providers that require their subscribers to side-load an application in order to access the content that they provide.
Due to the fact that TROYPOINT has no way to determine whether these services carry the proper licensing, we call them unverified services.
Some of these are definitely delivering channels that they don’t have proper licensing for.
Verified vs Unverified IPTV
Most cord-cutters accessing this page are interested in the unverified services. This is where the biggest savings occurs and includes the most channels/content.
As of now, subscribers of the verified services are paying almost as much as they would have through the traditional cable/satellite packages. The big names in the business have basically moved their service over to the Internet and charge the same!
Unverified services usually offer thousands of channels, sports season packages, PPV events, and more for $10 – $20 per month. Interestingly enough, these unverified streams can sometimes be more reliable than verified options.
The biggest drawbacks to using unverified services are legal questions and possible identity/security vulnerabilities. Since these are unofficial and not from a vetted source, there are no guarantees when using them.
Therefore, if you are brand new to IPTV you must be very careful about who to trust on this topic. Reddit is often the first place people hear about “IPTV” and we don’t trust Reddit for streaming information.
Reddit threads are becoming more manipulated than ever with unverified IPTV operators creating fake accounts and promoting their services. Be careful!
We’ve seen numerous IPTV services get shut down over the years or hacked. What happens to your personal data when this happens?
We have even seen instances in the past of authorities knocking on the doors of those who use illegal services.
These unverified services aren’t owned by a well-known company so people must be extremely careful when dealing with these unknown entities.
The first line of defense when streaming from an unverified provider is to use a VPN or Virtual Private Network which will secure your data from these unknown operators and ensure complete privacy!
We suggest reading our separate article on “Should I Use IPTV” for more information on the comparison between verified vs unverified.
IPTV Requirements
In order to set up IPTV and effectively stream live content, there are some requirements you must first consider.
High-Speed Internet
Streaming live video from the Internet requires powerful bandwidth through a high-speed Internet service.
The suggested minimum download speed for IPTV is approximately 10 Mbps to prevent buffering.
It’s important to note that using multiple IPTV devices at the same time will subtract from the total available download speed.
Most United States residents have access to high-speed Internet at an affordable price. If you live in a location where it isn’t available, satellite Internet might be your best option.
You can test your Internet speed to measure how fast your network is. If it doesn’t meet the minimums outlined above, an upgrade through your Internet service provider (ISP) is usually inexpensive.
Yes, you may need to upgrade to a faster Internet package for a few bucks but you will recoup that and more when you cancel your cable or satellite service.
Quality IPTV Service
Apart from high-speed internet, an IPTV service is required as well. These come in all forms and we will dive deeper into this subject below.
Streaming Devices
IPTV users typically opt for an Android-based streaming device or IPTV Box.
Why Android? Because Android is an open system that allows for side-loading IPTV apps that might not be available through official app stores.
Most Popular IPTV Streaming Devices Powered by Android
- Amazon Fire TV Sticks
- Amazon Fire TV Cube
- Formuler Devices
- NVIDIA Shield
- onn. Google TV Boxes
- MECOOL Android TV Boxes
- BuzzTV Boxes
- Chromecast with Google TV
- TiVo Stream 4K
- Generic Android TV Boxes
Generic Android TV Boxes are those that usually don’t carry a brand name and are running stock Android. These include the same operating systems found on phones and tablets.
Many people make the critical mistake of purchasing the wrong streaming device when first getting into IPTV.
TROYPOINT suggests avoiding the following devices at all costs, Roku, Apple TV, Raspberry Pi, and other non-Android systems.
IPTV Glossary
The following terms are often used quite frequently when speaking about IPTV. This IPTV glossary should help you get up to speed with the proper lingo.
Catch Up
A feature that allows you to view a past recording of a specific television show/event. Catch Up episodes are usually only available for a few days after the show has aired.
IPTV services that do offer this feature usually only include popular channels. You can think of Catch Up as a time-sensitive DVR (digital video recorder).
Connections
The number of devices that you can use simultaneously on an IPTV service. For example, if your subscription comes with three connections, you can use their service on up to 3 devices at the same time.
Some IPTV providers offer multi-screen and each active screen counts as one connection. Additional connections can usually be purchased at the time of purchase through most services.
EPG
Electronic program guide. This is an electronic listing of upcoming/past shows laid out in a nice graphical interface.
Many IPTV Services have EPGs built in for simple navigation of live broadcasts and more.
IP Location Locked
Whether or not the service may be used in different locations than where it was first registered from.
If the service is IP Location Locked, you may only use the service on the IP address that was used to register for the service with.
PPV
Pay Per View sporting events. Popular airings include MMA, Professional Wrestling, Boxing, etc.
IPTV Box
Any streaming device that allows users to install applications that provide live TV channels.
This includes media devices such as the Amazon Firestick or Android TV Box such as NVIDIA SHIELD, onn. Google TV, Formuler, and more.
ISP
Internet Service Provider. This is the company that provides your Internet service.
M3U URL
A URL provided by an IPTV service that allows you to use with IPTV Players such as TiviMate, Perfect Player, and IPTV Smarters which we dive into more below.
An M3U Playlist URL looks like this – http://nameofiptvservice.net:8080/get.php?username=yTBvERG5&password=6578942&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
Similarly, a corresponding EPG URL is often provided as well which pulls in television listings for respective service.
VOD
Video on demand. A video-on-demand section allows you to play movies and/or TV shows through the service.
This is usually a limited number and includes the most recently created works.
Oftentimes, they are displayed in a user-friendly interface for navigating options with ease.
VPN
Virtual Private Network. Allows you to connect to the Internet anonymously by encrypting your connection.
A VPN will mask your IP address and prevent your ISP, government, hackers, and app developers from logging what you are accessing online.
What to Look for When Purchasing IPTV Services
When it comes to selecting an IPTV service, some research is required to ensure you don’t get scammed and that you find a provider that suits all of your live media needs. Think about what you want in your live service and browse through some of our options below before signing up!
Here are the most important things to look for before purchasing an IPTV provider:
- Price & Subscription Options
- Free Trials (Not all services offer free trials)
- Channel Lineup (including Local Channels)
- Number of Connections (how many devices may be used simultaneously under the plan)
- VPN Compatibility (necessary for unverified services)
- Electronic Program Guide (EPG) Availability
- Catch-Up
- External IPTV Player Compatibility
- Customer Support
- Premium Sports Options
- Payment Methods Available
There are literally thousands of IPTV options. Many of these provide similar structure and content, but not all services are the same.
One thing to look for when searching for a provider is payment options. Because of the uncertainty of these providers, TROYPOINT suggests paying for IPTV services on a month-to-month time frame.
That way, if your provider goes offline or you find a better service, you are not locked in. We also recommend to seek out services with free trials so you can test without committing to a subscription.
For those who want to stay completely anonymous when purchasing an unverified service, we suggest using Bitcoin or a service like Abine Blur for masked credit cards.
In addition to paying anonymously, we also suggest creating an Anonymous Email Account when registering for these services. StartMail is our preferred email service.
Another thing to consider when choosing a service is the number of connections it offers. Sometimes, users can view IPTV on up to five devices simultaneously, while others allow only one.
Price is obviously important and the better unverified options range somewhere between $10-$20 per month, saving users hundreds of dollars each year!
Below, you will find a complete list of the Best IPTV services. These providers are sorted by price, channels, connections, payment methods, and much more.
We suggest bookmarking this page and checking the TROYPOINT Insider for the latest IPTV submissions from cord-cutters around the world.
Top 5 Best IPTV Services (Unverified)

How to Protect Yourself When Streaming IPTV
You shouldn’t use an IPTV service that doesn’t allow you to use a VPN in conjunction with it.
Running a VPN will protect your identity and security when using IPTV applications that haven’t been vetted by a reputable organization. In short, A VPN will make you anonymous while using the Internet.
One thing to note when testing different providers is whether or not their service works with a VPN. If the IPTV Service is not “location locked”, a VPN should work fine with the service.
A quality VPN will help evade censorship due to geographic locations, which is especially important for sports and MMA fans looking to watch the big events!
It’s important to know that some ISPs block unverified IPTV services and the only way to access them is by using a VPN. A VPN encrypts your connection to the Internet so it is impossible for your ISP to censor what you want to access online.
The most popular IPTV streaming device today is the Fire TV Stick. Learn how to install the best VPN on this device with our in-depth VPN tutorial.

IPTV Services to Avoid
Due to the nature of IPTV, many unverified services are often shut down by authorities, hacked, or go offline without notice.
So it’s important for TROYPOINT to stay updated on which services are completely shut down so users aren’t getting scammed by impersonating websites. It’s also frustrating to see other IPTV “review websites” recommending these options.
We are sure this list will grow overtime and we suggest you avoid any service using these names listed below.
BestBuyIPTV
BestBuyIPTV was a popular operation claiming to offer thousands of live channels. They were notoriously known for scamming users with fake websites and their operator was even sentenced to prison for evading law enforcement.
Sportz TV
Sportz TV used to be one of the top live TV providers in the world known for its channel lineup and sports offerings. Despite its popularity, the service encountered legal issues and rebranded several times leaving users confused. Avoid any website today claiming to be the “official” Sportz TV.”
Sapphire Secure
Sapphire Secure was best known for its huge channel selection for less than $15 per month. However, this service was hacked in 2021 leaving its customers’ data at risk.
Players Klub
The “Players Klub” was a low cost IPTV solution that provided over 3,000 channels for less than $10 per month. Players Klub was eventually targeted and seized by ACE in 2020.
Area 51
The “Area 51” live TV service was also seized and shut down by anti-piracy authorities. ACE and the MPA joined forces to shut down Area 51 in June 2020. Area 51 once offered over 1,000 live HD channels for only $5 per month.
Gears TV
The story of “Gears TV” is a crazy one. This service was also labeled as “Gears Reloaded” and at one point had over 100,000 subscribers with monthly revenue exceeding $1.5 million.
The founder of Gears TV, Bill Omar Carrasquillo (Omi in a Hellcat), was raided by the FBI in 2019. He was eventually fined and sentenced to prison for fraud, copyright infringement, and money laundering.
Nitro TV
Nitro TV was another major IPTV operation that offered more than 30,000 channels and 40,000 VOD titles for a cheap subscription fee. The service was shut down following lawsuits from DISH and ACE.
The operators of Nitro TV were then sentenced to prison and ordered to pay over $100 million in piracy damages.
Vidgo
While Vidgo was a verified service and didn’t face any legal issues, they called it quits in early 2024. This was due to outages caused by missed payments to vendors.
We were once hopeful of Vidgo since they offered an “a la carte” model where customers had more selection over their channels.
Mobdro
While technically not a service, “Mobdro” was once the most popular live streaming application in the world offering hundreds of free channels.
The developer was arrested in 2021 by authorities in Spain. If you come across any application claiming to be “Mobdro” we suggest running away.
Are IPTV Services Legal?
As mentioned above, some unverified IPTV services do not have the proper licensing so yes, they would be considered illegal.
It’s impossible for us (TROYPOINT) to determine whether an IPTV service holds the proper licensing for the channels that they deliver.
Due to the difficulty in determining whether an IPTV service is legal or not, we take the following stance.
TROYPOINT does not verify whether or not IPTV services carry the proper licensing for the content that they broadcast. The end-user shall be solely liable for any application or service used on their streaming devices.
If a reputable distributor such as Amazon or Google includes an IPTV service in their official app store, you can be certain that it is legal. The same is true for Android TV Boxes which include the Google Play Store.
We haven’t seen a situation in which subscribers are targeted by law enforcement or lawsuits when an unverified IPTV service is terminated. How can IPTV subscribers be targeted when they assume they are purchasing a legal service?
We suggest reading our separate resource on is IPTV legal for everything you need to know about the legality of IPTV.

Final Thoughts from Troy
Overall, IPTV services offer an attractive alternative to expensive cable packages, but it’s important you understand the risks before purchasing an unverified option.
Always use a quality VPN like Surfshark to protect yourself when streaming, use an anonymous email to register, and use a third-party payment method like Bitcoin or PayPal.
Have you used any of these IPTV services listed above? Let us know in the comments if we missed your favorite option!
